Refunds and Cancellations

At J3 Mobile Notary, we value your time and ours. Because our services involve significant travel, preparation, and specialized scheduling, we adhere to the following policy regarding refunds and cancellations.

1. Cancellation by the Client

More than 1 Hours Notice: If you cancel your appointment at least 1 hour before the scheduled time, you are eligible for a full refund of any pre-paid fees.

Less than 1 Hours Notice: Cancellations made within 1 hours of the appointment time will incur a Cancellation Fee of $50 to cover scheduling loss.

No-Show / Notary Already En Route: If the Notary has already departed for your location or arrives and you are not present, the Travel /Convenience Fee is non-refundable.

2. Non-Notarization (Inability to Sign)

The Notary is legally required to refuse service if certain conditions are not met. In these cases, the Travel/Convenience Fee is non-refundable, as the service of traveling to your location was performed. This includes:

Invalid Identification: The signer does not have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.

Incomplete Documents: The documents are missing pages or are not ready for signature.

Lack of Capacity: The signer appears confused, unaware of what they are signing, or is being coerced.

Missing Witnesses: The document requires witnesses that the client failed to provide (unless previously arranged with J3 Mobile Notary).

3. Remote Online Notarization (RON) Refunds

Technical Issues: If a session cannot be completed due to a failure in the J3 Mobile Notary platform, a full refund or a complimentary rescheduled session will be provided.

Client Connection: If the session fails because the client has an unstable internet connection or lacks a working camera/mic, a $25 Tech Fee may be retained.

4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Standard NYS Statutory Notary Fees ($2.00 per signature) are always refundable if the signature was not captured.
