What to Expect During a Mobile Notary Appointment:

  1. Scheduling the Appointment: Once you've requested a mobile notary service, you'll schedule an appointment at a time and location that's convenient for you.

  2. Payment: Pay the notary for their services. The cost usually includes a travel fee and a fee per signature notarized. Fees are collected before travel.

  3. Document Preparation: Before the appointment, ensure all your documents are completed except for the signatures. A notary cannot notarize documents with blank fields.

  4. Identification Verification: On the day of the appointment, the notary will ask for a valid, government-issued identification to verify your identity. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, passport, or military ID (see more).

  5. Document Review: The notary will review the document to ensure it's the correct type for notarization and that required fields are fully completed.

  6. Signing the Document: You'll sign the document in the presence of the notary. If there are multiple signers, each person must be present to sign.

  7. Notarization: After witnessing the signing, the notary will sign and stamp the document, officially notarizing it.

Remember, a notary public is a neutral witness and cannot provide legal advice or assist in document preparation.
